Closing the diversity gap in tech is a concern we all share. One way we’re working to promote increased diversity in IT is through ARA. With our mission to Attract, Retain and Advance women in technology through networking and mentoring, ARA has captured the attention of more than 2,500 IT leaders nationwide. Since launching a few short years ago, ARA has expanded its reach far beyond Chicago to promote connections in six different markets, including Houston.
ARA’s ability to grow so quickly is directly attributable to the early support we received from proactive industry leaders like you. It is also a clear sign that women in tech are looking for more opportunities for networking and mentorship. While ARA has helped initiate more than 200 mentoring relationships, demand from female IT professionals far outstrips our ability to manually facilitate those critical connections needed to move careers forward.
